A new baby comes into the world sweet and smiley. At the age of a half year, the child's development regressed. The peace that characterized him turned into a thing of the past. From the home of Family P. which numbers 10, bli ayin hara, sounds of sobbing cries are heard. What changes occurred?-wonders their friends and neighbors. One evening their 4 year old daughter chattered, from her words it was understood that the cabinets were bare; there wasn't even any food for Yanki.

So, we were met to discuss the situation- at Rav Chesed. Here we were told about the difficulties facing the family to meet even minimal expenses and in their distress they economized even on the basic food staples. And therefore where would they find the money for the new baby's needs such as diapers and formula when the father learns in Kollel and mother is a housewife? And the great expenses …from then the baby products have been sponsored relieving the heavy burden and tranquility has returned to the home.

This is just one situation where Rav Chesed has entered the picture to save a family from collapse. Hundreds of babies like him cry to you-please give us because we are also hungry!

It is for families such as these that Rav Chesed was established. Rav Chesed, a national organization, was established through the recommendation of leading Rabbis of Israel in order to reach such families and to give support in the future to the children. The Rav Chesed organization took on for itself the burden of raising and developing babies through food distribution like Materna, baby food, diapers, bottles etc. The deliveries are done by dedicated volunteers in a respectful and discreet manner. We in the organization try to envelop more and more families, more babies- to bestow upon them what each baby deserves.
